Kick-Off RESILIA
Overview
The Piaget invites you to the public launch of the European project RESILIA – Resilient Mental Health and Empowerment for Migrant and Displaced Women in Vulnerable Contexts, taking place on November 6th, from 9:00am to 12:30pm, at Piaget Campus in Almada, with live streaming available.
RESILIA, co-funded by the European Union, addresses the mental health challenges faced by migrant and displaced women in vulnerable situations, including survivors of human trafficking and violence, as well as refugees and asylum seekers.
Coordinated by Piaget (Portugal), in consortium with La Strada International (The Netherlands), Animus Association Foundation (Bulgaria), MIST – Mission d’intervention et de sensibilisation contre la traite des êtres humains (France), CCEM – Comité contre l’Esclavage Moderne (France), and Pag-Asa (Belgium), the project promotes trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and gender-responsive approaches, contributing to more inclusive and prevention-oriented mental health systems.
In addition to the project presentation, the event will feature the Joint Action PRISM and RESILIA sibling projects, as well as the presentation of local initiatives dedicated to preventing human trafficking and supporting victims, fostering dialogue and the creation of synergies among European and Portuguese organizations working in the fields of mental health, human rights, and gender equality.
Target group
Organizations, professionals, and advocates working in mental health, gender equality, migration, and anti-trafficking, as well as researchers, policymakers, and community actors interested in inclusive and prevention-oriented approaches to mental health and empowerment.
